Vanderbilt Tops LSU in Conference Showdown, 84-73

Vanderbilt's home court proved to be the difference-maker in its 11-point victory over visiting LSU on Tuesday night.

The Commodores (HOME) came out strong, leading at halftime 52-38. The home crowd was electric as Tyler Tanner led the charge with 20 points and 10 rebounds. His supporting cast of Tyler Nickel and Duke Miles chipped in with 19 and 17 points respectively, respectively, to help Vanderbilt take control.

In the second half, LSU made a late push but couldn't overcome the deficit. Max Mackinnon's 27 points for the Tigers were not enough to keep up with Vanderbilt's balanced attack.

LSU struggled from beyond the arc, going just 3-6 (50%) and hitting only 56.2% of their field goal attempts overall.

Vanderbilt, on the other hand, was efficient in its shooting, connecting on 43.0% of its field goal attempts and outrebounding LSU 36-35.

The Commodores' defense also played a key role in securing the win, holding LSU to just 19.7 turnovers per 100 possessions, which is well below the national average.

Tyler Tanner's strong all-around performance was a major factor in Vanderbilt's victory.

Overall, Vanderbilt's home crowd and team effort proved too much for visiting LSU to handle, as they came away with an important conference win.
