However, his team was unable to overcome the Golden Eagles' strong performance on the glass, where Djahi Binet dominated with 15 rebounds and 12 points.
Southern Miss, meanwhile, received a standout effort from Tylik Weeks, who scored 25 points and dished out four assists while grabbing seven rebounds. The senior's all-around game was instrumental in securing the win for his team.

For the Bobcats, Mark Drone also led in rebounds with eight, but they were unable to overcome the deficit.
