Key Individual Performances
BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier had a stellar performance, throwing for 296 yards on 23-of-33 passing with one touchdown. His ability to connect with receivers was crucial to BYU's offensive success. LJ Martin led the Cougars' rushing attack, carrying the ball 21 times for 88 yards and a touchdown, providing a balanced offensive approach. In the same quarter, TCU's offense struggled to find rhythm. A costly interception by Josh Hoover, returned 68 yards for a touchdown by T. Wall, essentially sealed the game for BYU in the 4th quarter. Earlier in the game, BYU's kicker, W. Ferrin, successfully kicked a 52-yard field goal in the 1st quarter. Ferrin also added a 35-yard field goal in the second quarter. In the second quarter, TCU had a 47-yard reception by McAlister setting up a first down.
