UNC Greensboro Edges Out Samford in Thrilling Conference Matchup
The First Horizon Coliseum played host to a highly anticipated conference matchup between UNC Greensboro and visiting Samford, with the Spartans ultimately emerging victorious, 89-82.
At the midpoint of the game, it seemed like UNCG would be cruising to an easy win. The home team led by as many as 15 points in the first half, showcasing their impressive depth and balance on both ends of the court. Meanwhile, Samford struggled to find its footing, trailing by 8 points after a sluggish start.
However, the visitors refused to back down. Jadin Booth spearheaded the comeback effort, netting 14 second-half points to lead all scorers. Despite his best efforts, Booth ultimately fell short, finishing with 26 points on 6-16 three-point shooting. Cade Norris provided a boost off the bench, adding 4 points and 9 rebounds.
