In a game that came down to the wire, Middle Tennessee State (MTSU) emerged victorious, defeating visiting Sam Houston 68-67 on Tuesday night at the Murphy Center.
The primary storyline of this conference matchup was how it would play out in its final minutes. Trailing by one point at halftime, MTSU took a commanding lead early in the second half before Sam Houston staged a late comeback attempt.
Jahvin Carter led the charge for MTSU, netting 16 points, including four from beyond the arc, to complement his impressive rebounding (10) and assisting efforts.
